Can Assist Viva Pack
A Can Assist Viva Pack is an individually planned and coordinated package of support designed to meet the care and support needs of people and their families affected by cancer. The aim of the program is to prevent inappropriate or premature hospitalisation, decrease anxiety and family stress through the provision of practical assistance on a short term basis.
The Can Assist Viva Pack can help in three special ways:
- practical services and support in individuals own home or community
- practical advice and information
- service and support co-ordination
Viva Packs are intended to be used as a practical resource for people and their families requiring short term care and support whilst undergoing or recovering from treatment for cancer.
