Host an Event
Hosting a fundraising event is a great way to help us raise funds for country families affected by cancer and have some fun at the same time.With less than 8% in government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters, our volunteers and our communities to enable us to continue our work.
You may choose to donate the funds to your local Can Assist branch or to support our accommodation facilities, the Jean Colvin Cancer Centre in Sydney or Lilier Lodge in Wagga Wagga.
Country people know how to have a good time and the possibilities are endless: you could hold a golf day, a Hillybilly Hoedown, a Jazz Concert, a movie night, a pub quiz, a walk, a bake–off, a swim-a thon or something completely different. If you need inspiration, give us a call on 1300 226 277.
Please note: In order to fulfil our legal licensing requirements you must register your event with Can Assist and receive a Letter of Authority to Fundraise on our behalf before the event is held.

You can also fax it to (02) 8217 3410 or post to Can Assist, Suite 1, 35-39 Mountain Street Ultimo NSW 2007.
After your event has been approved, you will receive a Letter of Authority. This will allow you to fundraise on behalf of Can Assist and proceed with your event.
