Lilier Lodge
A home away from home for patients undergoing cancer treatment at Wagga Wagga.Realising the need for specific accommodation for cancer patients and their carers while they are undergoing cancer treatment at the Riverina Cancer Care Centre (RCCC), Can Assist and the NSW Cancer Council (CCNSW) with the assistance of the local community, have built Lilier Lodge.
Lilier Lodge is a home away from home for patients and their carers. Set in Edward Street Wagga Wagga, the Lodge is close to the RCCC, the Wagga Wagga hospital and the Calvary Hospital and is a short drive to the shops.
The distinctive Lilier Lodge accommodates 20 patients and their carers and offers comfort and serenity, plus expert support during a very stressful period. The Lodge also provides a drop-in service for cancer patients who travel daily for their treatment.
Patients who are accompanied by their carers can stay at Lilier Lodge provided their condition is assessed by the doctor as being suitable for Lodge accommodation.
A great range of facilities
Every endeavour will be made to suit individual needs. All rooms are comfortably furnished and are equipped with small refrigerators and tea and coffee making facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided.Guests can use all the facilities provided in the large, modern kitchen to prepare their own meals – gas stove/oven, microwave oven, cooking utensils, china, cutlery, glasses etc. Rain water is supplied through the cold water dispenser in the large refrigerator.
A gas barbeque is available in the courtyard by the dining room for use by guests and visitors.
There is a large television and DVD music system available for use by all guests and visitors in the large lounge room opposite the dining room. The grounds and room courtyards are ideal places to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

A moderate fee has been allocated on a Bed and Breakfast basis.The patients and carers from the Greater Murray Area Health Service are eligible for the allocated funding from the Area Health Service to assist with accommodation costs for those patients who are not eligible for the IPTAAS. If you are eligible for IPTAAS then the Lodge Manager will assist you in making your claim.
Unfortunately for those patients who reside outside the Greater Murray Area Health Service and are not eligible for IPTAAS the moderate fee will apply. Once again, should you be eligible for IPTAAS then the Lodge Manager will assist you in making your claim.
Those patients who are eligible for Veterans Affairs assistance can claim their costs back from the Department of Veteran Affairs on an ongoing basis. The moderate fee applies to those patients also.
