How You Can Assist
Country people affected by cancer are 35% more likely to die within five years of diagnosis than city patients. There are many ways that you can support our work and help us change this statistic.
If you would like to make a real, practical and positive difference to country families in your local community you can:
- volunteer and become part of a community of inspiring and dedicated individuals
- become a branch member to show your support
- come to our events
- host your own event
- approach your workplace and ask them to support your local Can Assist Branch
- our Facebook page on your social media.
- contact us with any other ideas you have!
We know the first priority when making a will is to provide for your loved ones, but many people find that even after they’ve done this, they can leave something to a cause they hold dear.
Leaving a gift in your will is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support Can Assist. It costs nothing during your lifetime, but will have a powerful impact on people in your community for years to come. We need your support to ensure our critical work continues long into the future. By leaving a gift in your will, you will enable Can Assist to plan our services and act immediately whenever we are asked for assistance.
If you believe in helping individuals and families with cancer in New South Wales, please consider remembering us in this special way.
